We are looking for someone who is keen to take on the initiative and contribute to managing and leveraging changing business conditions to deliver the best value of procurement to the organization.

Position overview

Are you outgoing and enjoy working with a wide variety of customers? Are you process driven with a keen eye for detail?

We have a permanent, full-time opportunity for a Stockkeeper in the Supply Management Department. Reporting to the Manager, Supply Management, the Stockkeeper physically manages and controls inventory for the Vancouver Airport Authority.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Process incoming Receiving on a daily basis
  • Pick and ship parts throughout the airport and satellite warehouses
  • Managing consumable and consignment inventory including labelling and cataloguing inventory using our computerized ERP system
  • Providing warehousing for long- and short-term storage items and consumables inventories including cataloguing and labelling items and bin locations
  • Providing shipping functions as required

Key qualifications include:

  • At least two years’ recent, relevant experience, supplemented by the completion of one to two years of post-secondary education, including trades and apprenticeships; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Valid BC driver’s license and Airside Vehicle Operators Permit (AVOP), or ability to obtain AVOP
  • Forklift and Transportation of Dangerous Goods certifications, or ability to obtain certifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of inventory control and warehousing with proven experience in using material handling equipment and machinery
  • Solid computer skills, especially MS Office and Oracle
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to respond to a high volume of email queries in a concise manner

This position is open to both Vancouver Airport Authority employees and external applicants. Previous job performance will be taken into consideration for all internal candidates that apply for this position.

Salary Range : $58,041 to $75,854 per annum, based on 40 hours per week. This is individually tailored to reflect your unique experience, qualifications and internal equity.
