Senior Business Analyst (Oracle) - Term to June 2027

Position overview

We have an opportunity for a full-time term (to June 2027) opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst (Oracle) in the IT Department. Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Transformation. The SBA Oracle ERP will play a key role in supporting and evolving YVR’s Oracle Fusion, OIC and FAW ERP system.

The ideal candidate will enhance internal customer services and drive employee satisfaction by delivering high-quality system support and technical improvements. This role also requires strong analytical and communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables. The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders across multiple departments, to ensure that YVR’s Oracle Fusion system as well as other integrated Financial and EAM Systems operate efficiently and align with industry best practices.

This role requires business analysis and strong technical expertise to manage the business and technology aspects of core Oracle systems.

Key responsibilities include:  

  • Monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving Oracle Fusion (Finance, Procurement, FAW, OIC) system and integration incidents. 
  • Documenting resolutions and communicating updates to stakeholders.  
  • Monitoring and maintaining ERP systems, ensuring data integrity, internal controls and audit trails are maintained throughout. 
  • Facilitating the definition of project and enhancements scope, goals, and deliverables, while following defined YVR IT PMO processes and creating required documentation.
  • Conducting requirements fit-gap analyses and identifying short-term and long-term business and technical system requirements. 
  • Identifying recommendations and implementing updates to system integrations and enhancements.
  • Building and maintaining Oracle reports using OTBI and BI Publisher. 
  • Collaborating with the business process leads to identify process improvements and documenting enhanced workflows. 
  • Designing and providing training and required guidance to users on new system enhancements and business processes. 
  • Providing technical and admin services for other related Oracle ERP applications and integrations as required (e.g. Maximo, PROP works, Chrome River, SuccessFactors, UKG timekeeping, and CIBC).

Key qualifications include:

  • 5 years’ post degree experience with large-scale Oracle Fusion Finance and Procurement Cloud projects with significant integrations using OIC, including implementation and managed services, 
  • Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, Computer Science or Business Administration. 
  • Certified in one or more Oracle Finance and Procurement Modules. 
  • Experience with incident resolution, system updates, and business process improvement. 
  • One or more of the following formal certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified Professional Accountant (CPA), or other formal certification in specific and relevant software application(s). 
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and technical experience with Oracle Fusion ERP and OIC is essential, including understanding technical system architecture.
  • Previous experience using Jira, Jenkins and GitHub.
  • Experience with test automation solutions, selenium preferred.
  •  Ability to build and maintain reports using OTBI/BI Publisher. Advanced SQL Skills will be considered as an asset.  

This position is open to both Vancouver Airport Authority employees and external applicants. Previous job performance will be taken into consideration for all internal candidates that apply for this position.

Salary Range : $99,945 to $130,621 per annum, based on 37.5-hour work week. This is individually tailored to reflect your unique experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
