HRIS Specialist

Position overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about HR technology and systems to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. Reporting to the Manager; HR Technology, the HRIS Specialist will be a partner to stakeholders from across the organization to help create a people and business driven technology platform.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with and provide a high level of customer service to your colleagues in HR, Payroll, and the business to help build and maintain a people technology platform that meets the needs of the organization.
- Act as the technical subject matter expert in HR technology functionality and end-user experience for all areas – HR, Payroll, Time, Performance Management, Learning & Development and Recruitment.
- Primary contact for tier 1 and tier 2 system support; troubleshoot and resolve system problems with reporting, integrations, business processes and other configurations.
- Ensure the effectiveness of system configurations, interdependencies, and data flows; proactively identifying and resolving any issues.
- Participate in HR technology initiatives by assisting with business requirement gathering, business process review, project management, testing, training, documentation development, communication, and business configuration.
Key qualifications include:
- Minimum 2 years of HRIS experience, supplemented by a diploma in an IT-related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Experience working with, supporting, or delivering HRIS and/or payroll systems.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn new systems and upgrade skills on an ongoing basis.
- Excellent customer service, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, both technical and non-technical as well as strong project management, time management, organizational, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- SIT/UAT testing experience, coding experience nice-to-have, experience with Excel and other Microsoft Products as well as SAP SF.
- Understanding of different AI concepts and key AI features offered with HR Products.
This position is open to Vancouver Airport Authority employees and external applicants. Previous job performance will be taken into consideration for all internal candidates that apply for this position.

Salary Range : $74,400 to $106,950 per annum, based on 37.5-hour work week. This is individually tailored to reflect your unique experience, qualifications and internal equity.
Performance-Based Incentive: Eligible for an annual bonus target at 7.5% of your annual salary.
