Co-op Student – Content and Design
Position Overview
The Vancouver Airport Authority has one (1) full-time opportunity for a co-op position in the External Affairs, Content and Design Department for up to a 4-month term starting May 2025. The successful candidate will support content creation, real-time monitoring and engagement, community management, creative asset development, social media reporting and the execution of a capstone project while collaborating with the External Affairs team to align content with broader communications goals.
Key Responsibilities include:
The Content and Design Team is responsible for bringing the YVR story to life through the management of YVR’s digital channels and oversight of the visual application of the brand including creative conceptualization, design, and implementation.
- Assist in the creation of engaging social media content, including posts, graphics and short-form videos to support brand storytelling and audience engagement.
- Monitor social media channels, identify trends, engage with audiences and flagging emerging issues for the team.
- Support community management efforts by responding to comments, messages and interactions in a timely manner.
- Assist with creative asset development using Canva and other design tools to support social media campaigns and ongoing content needs.
- Contribute to monthly social media reporting by collecting key performance metrics, analyzing trends and providing insights to optimize content strategy.
Key Qualifications include:
The individual will have the following:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Facebook) and emerging digital trends.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or other graphic design software.
- Analytical mindset with an interest in social media performance metrics.
- Experience with social media monitoring and community engagement is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
- Proven ability to balance multiple priorities in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment.
- Motivated and enthusiastic team player willing to do what it takes to get the job done.

Salary Range : $24.08/hr + Living Wage top up to $27.05/hr
