Technical Analyst (Office Systems)

Position overview
We have an opportunity for a permanent, full-time Technical Analyst (Office Systems) in the Information Technology (IT) Department. Reporting to the Manager, Technology Services, the successful candidate will perform technical design, support and planned maintenance tasks related to IT systems and services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working as part of a team to support the infrastructure, applications, functionality and service delivery for mission-critical airport systems
- Project management including gathering technical requirements and providing design inputs for technical and functional components of systems; identifying, estimating work effort and executing technical tasks; and testing, working with business units to implement systems and transitioning systems to operations
- Preparing technical documentation for support teams and reviewing support documentation for transition
- Providing technical analysis of incidents and outages, and monitoring trend analysis on system performance, availability and reliability
- Creating Preventative Maintenance Plans and troubleshooting guides in consultation with suppliers, and creating detailed change requests for fixes and enhancements to assigned systems
- Providing support to business units, including ongoing guidance regarding best practices for system design and configuration
- Administering Office 365, System Center Configuration Manager, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, Windows 1011 Azure, VMware, , and a variety of desktop and server applications
Key qualifications include:
- At least five years’ recent, related experience working with, supporting and delivering IT systems in Microsoft and or Linux environments, supported by a degree in Computer Information’s Systems or similar
- Must hold the following certifications: Microsoft MCSE, MCITP or MCTS
- Experience with virtual server platforms, storage devices, and computer network resources.
- Familiarity with cloud computing, Azure, VMware
- Experience in delivering projects including writing technical documentation.
- Demonstrated experience with Office 365, System Center Configuration Manager, Microsoft Intune, MDM, Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, Azure, and VMware
- Ability to provide on call support and potential shift/night work
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Project
- Experience with handling support and maintenance of services hosted on the cloud
- Able to coordinate and manage projects, including writing technical documentation
- Solid critical thinking and analytical skills
- Solid communication (oral and written) and relationship building skills with all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
This position is open to both Vancouver Airport Authority employees and external applicants. Previous job performance will be taken into consideration for all internal candidates that apply for this position.

Salary Range : $87,926 to $114,912 per annum, based on 37.5-hour work week. This is individually tailored to reflect your unique experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
