Senior Business Analyst (Oracle)

Position overview
We have a full-time opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst (Oracle) in the IT Department. Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Transformation, the successful candidate is responsible for the initiation, execution, control, and completion of enterprise system projects, including but not limited to, system assessments and roadmaps, business process improvement, system selections, and system implementation projects. This role requires business analysis and technical program management expertise to manage the business and technology aspects of core systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the support, enhancement, and continuous improvement of assigned enterprise systems (e.g., Oracle Fusion ERP, Amadeus PROPworks, Concur – both SaaS and on-prem), including day-to-day operations, system enhancements, and project initiatives. Support system reliability, operational controls, and audit requirements.
- Coordinate assigned business and technology initiatives throughout the delivery lifecycle, including requirements definition, implementation support, and continuous improvement activities. Facilitate project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with YVR IT processes and PMO methodologies.
- Provide business analysis, application, technical, and operational expertise for assigned enterprise systems, acting as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, vendors, and IT teams to ensure solutions effectively support business objectives and operational needs.
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities, analyze requirements, assess impacts, and provide recommendations to support prioritization of system improvements and initiatives.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and priorities across multiple initiatives and support requests while providing clear communication and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize business processes, automate manual activities, address operational risks, and improve user experience through technology-enabled solutions.
- Develop and maintain long-term system roadmaps, strategies, and application architecture plans in collaboration with IT leaders and business stakeholders.
Key qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent, or comparable education with sufficient relevant work experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience implementing and supporting enterprise-class applications in medium to large sized organizations including strong skills in use of support and knowledge management tools.
- Minimum 5 years of business analysis and project management experience (senior level) including strong skills in use of project management tools (MS Office, Jira, DevOps)
- One or more of the following formal certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified Professional Accountant (CPA), or other formal certification in specific and relevant software application(s).
- Oracle Fusion Applications certification(s) are preferred, including (but not limited to): Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials: General Ledger Implementation Professional; Oracle Accounting Hub Cloud Implementation Professional; Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials: Receivables and Collections Implementation Professional; Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Application Integration Professional; Line of Business Analytics and Semantic Modeling Professional with Oracle Analytics Cloud; or Governed Analytics Professional with Oracle Analytics Cloud.
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and experience with Oracle EBS, Oracle Fusion ERP, or other large ERP systems is essential, including understanding of system architecture.
- Ability to oversee and plan all activities around the management of IT systems/programs with a focus on service delivery and a proactive outlook as well as proven relationship building skills, both with internal stakeholders/users and external vendors/consultants/system user community groups.

Salary Range : $102,693 to $134,213per annum, based on a 37.5-hour work week. This is individually tailored to reflect your unique experience, qualifications and internal equity.
