Digital Content Specialist - Videography

Position overview

As the Digital Content Specialist – Videography, you will provide support for the Communications, Content & Design team by capturing, editing and distributing strategic video content across multiple channels. Reporting to the Manager, Digital Communications and Design, you will also contribute to the overall content and communications strategy through design, writing and event management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating high-quality multimedia content, including videos, graphics and animations for YVR’s digital platforms
  • Capturing and editing video footage to create engaging and informative content, using video and audio editing software
  • Developing and executing a digital content strategy, aligning content with YVR’s brand and marketing objectives
  • Supporting the ideation, creation, execution and measurement of major campaigns, as well as leading some campaign-driven projects and initiatives
  • Overseeing and maintaining the digital library and asset management software
  • Providing reporting and analysis for digital content, and creating benchmarks for performance

Key qualifications include:

  • At least two years’ experience in video editing, social media marketing, content creation and implementation, supplemented by the completion of a two-year post-secondary certificate or diploma in Digital Media, Design, Animation, Videography or a related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Proven skills in web platforms, editing software and digital channel applications and hardware
  • Deep knowledge of video editing software, equipment and camera hardware, with preference for Adobe Premier Pro, Final Cut, and the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sound, lighting and translation hardware and software

This position is open to both Vancouver Airport Authority employees and external applicants. Previous job performance will be taken into consideration for all internal candidates that apply for this position.

Salary Range : $69,645 to $91,022 per annum, based on 37.5-hour work week. This is individually tailored to reflect your unique experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
