Projects Analyst

The Passenger Experience team is responsible for elevating the guest experience, ensuring a seamless passenger journey, and is integral in driving the non-aeronautical revenue for the airport.
Position overview
We have a full time, permanent opportunity for a Projects Analyst. Reporting to the Manager, Projects and Business Analysis, the successful candidate will lead and/or support all ongoing projects and strategic initiatives across the Passenger Experience portfolio with analytics, developing business cases, high level project management and strategic planning. Furthermore, this role will also be required to lead independent projects as assigned by the Manager, Projects and Business Analysis as well as other members of the senior Passenger Experience leadership team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and/or support projects, strategic initiatives and business cases for the Passenger Experience Team (Commercial Services; Marketing, Partnerships and Advertising; Guest Experience; and Accessibility).
- Lead the development and maintenance of data analysis models and dashboards to track project metrics and outcomes.
- Keep updated with industry and market trends, and identify, present and implement strategic initiatives to elevate the guest experience and drive the generation of non-aeronautical revenue.
- Support the Manager, Projects and Business Analysis and the Chief Experience Officer in developing and tracking success metrics for the Passenger Experience portfolio.
- Prepare detailed strategic plans, reports, and presentations for the senior Passenger Experience leadership team.
Key qualifications include:
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in Business, Management, Finance or a related field, including 2-3 years of experience in Project Management. PMP Certification will be considered an asset.
- Completion of at least a two to three year technical or community college certificate or diploma in Business, Finance, Management or a related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Skilled in data, risk, and financial analysis, with a solid ability to make informed decisions, resolve conflicts, and apply strategic and critical thinking for effective problem-solving.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder expectations and strong interpersonal skills for fostering positive relationships.
- Demonstrates excellent project management abilities, time management skills, and multitasking capabilities; efficiently handling multiple initiatives and priorities to meet organizational objectives and timelines.
- Proficient in MS Office and other essential tools, complemented by a creative, entrepreneurial mindset that brings forward innovative ideas and solutions in a dynamic work environment.
This position is open to both Vancouver Airport Authority employees and external applicants. Previous job performance will be taken into consideration for all internal candidates that apply for this position.
Salary Range : $82,753 to $108,153 per annum, based on a 37.5-hour work week. This is individually tailored to reflect your unique experience, qualifications and internal equity.
