Position Overview
Join YVR’s Commercial Services team, where travel meets retail, and strategy meets real-world impact. This is your chance to explore the future of commerce at the airport, where everything from retail and restaurants to parking and digital services helps shape the passenger experience and drive non-aeronautical revenue.
As a co-op student, you’ll lead a strategic feasibility study, exploring commercial opportunities that support YVR’s evolving business model. You’ll research industry trends, build financial models, and work with cross-functional teams to shape forward-thinking business recommendations that will help guide YVR’s future.
This is a real opportunity to build your business toolkit, contribute to high-value work, and gain exposure to one of the most exciting intersections in commerce: travel, retail, and customer experience.
What You’ll be Doing
- Take the lead on a feasibility study tied to a strategic commercial initiative.
- Dive into market research to explore customer behavior, retail trends, economic factors, and the travel retail landscape
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define project scope, align on assumptions, and gather input.
- Build financial models to assess profitability and return on investment (ROI).
- Develop a professional business proposal and presentation, synthesizing insights into strategic recommendations.

After completing the co-op term, you can expect to learn more about the lifecycle of commercial program in the travel industry. You will get unique exposure to airport operation while collaborating with YVR internal stakeholders. The assigned project focusing on business analysis and investment assessment will also offer the opportunity to test your planning and analytical skillset in a sophisticated business environment.

Salary Range : $24.08/hr + Living Wage top up to $27.05/hr
