Position Overview

Are you passionate about accessibility, inclusion, and creating exceptional guest experiences? The Vancouver Airport Authority has one (1) full-time co-op opportunity in the Passenger Programs Department for a 4-month term starting May 2025.

This role offers a unique opportunity to support YVR’s Beyond Accessibility Plan—a multi-year commitment to building a more inclusive airport for everyone. As a co-op student, you’ll contribute directly to innovative projects that improve service delivery, enhance accessibility, and support guest experience at one of the world’s leading airports.

As a co-op student in the Passenger Programs Department, you'll play an important role in helping YVR create a more accessible and inclusive experience for everyone who travels through our airport. You will:

  • Support the rollout of YVR’s Beyond Accessibility Plan, a multi-year strategy to make our airport more inclusive. You'll contribute directly to priority projects that bring this plan to life.
  • Conduct research and analyze guest feedback to identify opportunities for service enhancements—focusing on innovation, accessibility, and the guest experience.
  • Develop business cases, strategic recommendations, and implementation plans to support new accessibility-focused services and programs.
  • Create an internal Accessibility and Inclusion resource hub, empowering teams across the organization with tools and knowledge.
  • Write and edit professional documents such as briefings, standard operating procedures, and business cases.
  • Assist with terminal accessibility events and service quality reviews, including helping to design a brand-new accessible tour program.

We’re looking for a proactive and curious student who’s passionate about creating inclusive spaces and delivering great guest experiences. The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Excellent communication skills—you’re comfortable writing, editing, and presenting ideas clearly.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities, with a collaborative approach and a focus on customer service.
  • Experience developing business cases and project plans, with the ability to align recommendations to strategic goals.
  • Comfort working with data analysis and synthesizing complex information to support future planning and decision-making.
  • A mindset of innovation and continuous improvement—you enjoy exploring new ideas.
  • A strong commitment to service excellence and a passion for inclusion.

Salary Range : $24.08/hr + Living Wage top up to $27.05/hr
