Senior Stockkeeper

Position overview

We have a full-time, permanent opportunity for a Senior Stockkeeper in the Supply Management Department.  Reporting to the Manager, Supply Management, the Stockkeeper physically manages and controls inventory for the Vancouver Airport Authority.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Physically Manage and Control Inventory for Vancouver International Airport Authority
  • Creates daily inventory requests and Pick Lists through CMMS
  • Delivering materials to end users as and when needed.
  • Write Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as new processes emerge.
  • Provide warehousing for long- and short-term storage for critical maintenance items and consumable inventory
  • Providing shipping and receiving function for the Vancouver International Airport Authority

Key qualifications include:

  • 3 years of post-Red Seal (Part Technician) experience. High school plus one to two years of post-secondary schooling, including trades apprenticeships.
  • Valid BC driver’s license and possession of, or ability to obtain, Airside Vehicle Operators Permit (AVOP)
  • Forklift, Narrow Aisle, WHMIS and Transportation of Dangerous Goods certifications, or ability to obtain certifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of inventory control and warehousing with proven experience in using material handling equipment and machinery
  • Solid computer skills with Microsoft products. Maximo and Oracle would be an asset.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to respond to a high volume of email queries in a concise manner

This position is open to both Vancouver Airport Authority employees and external applicants. Previous job performance will be taken into consideration for all internal candidates that apply for this position.

Salary Range : $65,116 to $85,107 per annum, based on 40-hour work week. This is individually tailored to reflect your unique experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
